1 Timothy 1:1, “…Christ Jesus our hope.”
Hope is not a vague sense that things will be ok, it is not an exercise in optimistic thinking, it is not a choice to look on the bright side….Hope is the PERSON who has invaded our hopelessness, swallowed it into Himself on the cross, and rendered it forever inert by His resurrection.
To say that the Christian lives in hope is to say that their life is hidden in and conformed to Him who is their Hope, the slain and risen Son of God—in whom thorns of sorrow blossom into joy and wounds of suffering become jewels in the crown of glory.
