1 Corinthians 15:20, “But in fact, Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep.”
Just as the first rays of morning on the Eastern horizon mean day is at hand; just as the first buds on the trees tell us that Spring has come; and just as the first ripe fruits of harvest promise many more like them to follow….so too the risen Jesus Christ is the proof and promise that ALL THOSE trusting in Him WILL BE raised up to new, immortal, bodily life in union with Him.
We are all seeds and will one day be planted in the earth; but in Christ we’ve seen the full and fruitful flowering that follows that planting, and so we need not fear.
