Philippians 4:8-9, “Finally brothers, as much as is true, as much as is honorable, as much as is just, as much as is pure, as much as is lovely, as much as is admirable, if anything is virtuous and if anything is praise worthy, think on these things. And that which you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things and the God of peace will be with you.”
From beauty beheld, comes beauty in deed
For where the mind rests is where the soul feeds
And what the soul eats empowers the life
Wielding the body as scalpel or knife
So may our mind’s eye behold our High Priest
And may our soul feed on Calvary’s feast
For in Him is all the excellency
Kenosis of God, true humility.
