Psalm 139:16 tells us that every day of our lives was authored by God before even one of them came to be. And, in Christ, we know that the hand that authors our lives (even the hard parts) is a hand that has suffered infinitely in our place…….
Our Shepherd experientially knows our suffering. And when He writes a difficult (or the final) chapter in our lives, He does it in sovereign love, never calling us to into a valley He has not walked through Himself, and never leaving us to walk it alone.
