Psalm 139:23-24, “Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”

Again, no big write up today….I just wanted to put something together that expressed the freedom, the joy, and the duty that we have to be every opening our deepest selves to the searching eyes of the Lord.

What a joy it is to be known to the roots! What freedom it gives to know that there is nothing to hide and nothing that can be hidden! And what unshakable comfort to know that, whatever monstrosities our still-sinful-souls divulge, they are—if offered up, if mourned, if repented of and turned from—drowned in the blood of Christ. Yes, because whatever horrors are dredged up…..we know that this too was borne in the body of our Lord on the tree, damned in His death, and covered in His righteousness.

May we all grow in this wonderful grace, in bringing ourselves to the Lord with no coverings or excuses and inviting His purifying eyes of fire to search us and know us and lead us in the way everlasting….There is nothing to hide if we are hidden in Christ’s atoning wounds.
